This month – Kootch, Miggy Angel, Keith Ford, Ichabod
Kootch is based in Derbyshire. Made up of Beth Aveyard and Dean Lilleyman, Kootch boasts a range of contemporary and traditional folk songs, and even throw in their own material from time to time.
Kootch derives from the Welsh ‘cwtch’, meaning the warm, safe place created by the embrace of a loved one. Kootch hope to recreate this feeling with their music.
Kootch have already received such rave reviews as:
‘One of the only bands I would actually pay to see’
– Judy – Beth’s Mum. (Although evidence of this is yet to be seen)
‘That’s great… But would you mind practising over there, I’m trying to sleep – Derek the Cat
Poetry will be provided by head honchos of Nottingham’s premier poetry night Speech Therapy Miggy Angel and Keith Ford.
Following his peerless run of recent form, resident genius Ichabod will be summoning the spirits of Cave, Cash and Elvis and mixing them with his own unique brand of specialness for another fantastic set.
All this for £5.00 entry and the cheapest, best stocked bar in town. See you there
