The last Independent Electric Group night of 2017 features another cracking line up.
To celebrate the release of his fantastic album Domestic Bliss, My Pleasure will be returning to the Labour Club for another set of spiky post punk with great pop chops. Here’s what some other punters have had to say;
“A terrific piece of observational pop music with a wry sense of humour.” — Steve Lamacq, BBC 6 Music
“One of the best and original indie hearings that you’d probably come across nowadays!” — Sound Injections
“My Pleasure…literally.” — Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music
It’s an absolute pleasure also to welcome top songsmith John Marriott over for his Labour Club debut. John is the lyrical half of Nottingham’s electronic noiseniks, and night-time-radio darlings, “the little typists”, yet even now, deep in the 21st century, still occasionally delves into the guitar case.
For the listening pleasure of the good people out there who love marmite.
Ace Leeds poet Phil Pearce will be bringing his own inimitable brand of honesty and authenticity – previous performances around West Yorkshire have been heart-warming and heart=breaking in equal measure.
Resident genius Ichabod will once again be summoning the spirits of Cash, Cave and Presley, producing a brand of magic that is uniquely his own,
MC will be Matt McAteer
£5 entry. Great line up, cheap beer – we’ll see you there
